It is the capital city of Ecuador in northwestern South America. Ecuador is located in the north-central Guayllabamba in the watersheds, in the eastern slopes of the Pichincha , an active stratovolcano in the Andes mountains. With a population of 1,397,698 according to the latest census (2001), and, according to city estimates, about 1,504,991 in 2005, Quito is the second most populous city in Ecuador, after Guayaquil. It is also the capital of the Pichincha province and the headquarters of the Metropolitan District of Quito. The county recorded a population of 1,842,201 inhabitants in the 2001 national census. In 2008 the city was designated as the headquarters of the Union of South American Nations .
The elevation of the city's main square (Plaza de la Independencia and Plaza Grande ) is 2.800 m (about 9186 feet), so Quito the second highest administrative capital city of the world (after La Paz, Bolivia), and the highest legal capital (ahead of Sucre, also in Bolivia, and Bogota, Colombia).
The central plaza of Quito is 25 km (15 miles) south of Ecuador, the city lies within about 1 km (0.6 miles) of zero latitude. A monument and museum marking the general location of Ecuador is known locally as La Mitad del Mundo (Half of the world), to avoid confusion, as the word is Spanish for Ecuador Ecuador.
Quito, along with Krakow, was the first Cultural World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO in 1978 .
Quito origins date back to the first millennium, when the Quito tribe occupied the area and eventually formed a commercial center. According to Juan de Velasco's 1767 book History of the Kingdom of Quito, the Quito were conquered by the Caras tribe, who founded the Kingdom of Quito about 980 CE.
Places to visit:
Because Quito is about 40 kilometers (24.85 miles) long and 5 km (3.1 miles) at its widest, most major city roads run from north to south. The two major highways that go from the northern part of the city to the south are the Eastern Avenue (Eastern Peripheral Corridor) in the hills bordering the east of the city, Western Avenue on the west side of town in the volcano Pichincha. August 10th Street is also extended from north to south through most of the city, running through the middle of it. Due to the hills and the curved shape of the city, a grid pattern is very difficult to understand. The historic city center is based on a grid pattern, despite the hills, the streets Venezuela, Chile, García Moreno, and Guayaquil are the most important.
Some of the most important avenues in Quito are:
Avenida Rio Amazonas
Avenida de la Prensa
December 6th Avenue
Avenida Nations, United
August 10th Ave
Avenida Diego Vazquez
Avenida Eloy Alfaro
Avenue of the Republic
Avenida República del Salvador
Avenida de América
Avenida Francisco de Orellana
General Av Rumiñahui
Avenida Gonzalez Suarez
Avenida Real Audiencia
Galo Plaza Avenue
Avenida El Inca
Avenida Vicente Maldonado
and some parks such as:

Tokyo is considered the capital and largest metropolitan area of Japan. It is located on the eastern side of the main island, Honshü, and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands.
Its population is about 12,989,000,000 people.
Tokyo was originally a small fishing village called Edo. In 1603, the town became the centre of his nationwide military goverment. Edo grew into one of the largest and most populated cities in the world by the 18th century. In 1869, the 17-year-old Emperor Meiji moved to Edo. Tokyo was already the nation's political and cultural centre and being the emperor's residence made it a facto imperial capital as well with the former Edo Castle becoming the Imperial Palace. The City of Tokyo was established and continued to be the capital until it was abolished as a municipality in 1943. Central Tokyo has been designed since about 1900 to be centered major train stations in a high-density fashion.
Tokyo suffered two major catastrophes in the 20th century, but it recovered from both of them. One was the 1923 Great Kantö earthquake and the other was the World War II. The bombing of Tokyo in 1944 and 1945 was almost as devasting as the atomic bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki combined. The 1970s brought new high-rise development such as Sunshine 60, which made the population increase 11,000,000 people.
Tokyo's subway and computer network became one of the busiest in the world as more and more people moved to the area. In the 1980s real estate prices increased a lot during a real estate and debt bubble. The bubble burst in 1990s and many companies, banks, etc., were caught with mortage backed debts. A major recession followed, making the 1990s Japan's lost decade from which it is now slowly recovering.
Tokyo still sees new urban developments like the Ebisu Great Palace or Tennozu Isle.

John Lennon is a soundtrack album of popular music composed by John Lennon for the 1988 documentary film, Imagine: John Lennon. Originally released that year as a double album, it now remains available on one CD.
Bridging his two musical phases together, as a member of The Beatles and a solo artist (similar to George Harrison's earlier The Best of George Harrison), Imagine: John Lennon is a career-spanning collection of Lennon's many musical highlights. In addition there are a couple of heretofore unreleased recordings: an acoustic demo of "Real Love" taped in 1979 (an alternate recording of which would be finished by The Beatles for 1996' s Anthology 2) and a rehearsal take of "Imagine" in mid-1971 before the final take was captured. It also features for the first time a clean-intro version of "A Day in the Life", that would appear later on the CD release of The Beatles' 1967–1970 compilation.
Imagine: John Lennon, with its wealth of stock Lennon footage and self-narration, proved to be a well-received film and its soundtrack sold well in the US, reaching #31 and going gold. In the UK, the album peaked at #64.
The project arrived at a timely juncture and was successful in thwarting the then-released The Lives of John Lennon by Albert Goldman, a controversial and reputation-tarnishing book which many dismissed as fiction, including Ono and Lennon's close friends, as well as the remaining Beatles.
"Something" is a song released by The Beatles in 1969.It was on the album Abbey Road. The song has been covered by over 150 artists including Elvis Presley, Shirley Bassey, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, James Brown, Radiohead, Julio Iglesias, Smokey Robinson and Joe Cocker, and is the second best Beatles song after "Yesterday".It relation with the history of the group is that it is the first song written by George Harrison and also it is the second best song after Yesterday.I like this song because it is the best, I think. I also like it because have a lot of drums very good it is very easy to sing and very slow. It drummer is Ringo Starr, and when I will to play it.The Abbey Road album was the first official Beatles release to feature "Something"; it was released on 26 September 1969 in the United Kingdom, with the United States' release following on 1 October, and performed well, topping the charts in both countries.

This song was composed by John Lennon and published in two different versions in 196. The first version was recorded on 30 May 1968, was a slow blues song. Led by John Lennon, another version of the song was recorded in July of that year, this time was faster, sounding like hard rock with distorted guitars. With the song "Revolution", Lennon began his political commitment and promote values such as pacifism, it would still be reflected in "Give Peace a Chance" and "Imagine", recorded solo. John Lennon began writing "Revolution" in late winter of 1968, while still in Rishikesh, India, for his meditation lessons.
This song (Revoltion) is one of my favorites along with others such as the John Lennon's song "Imagine" and I also like the song "Yellow submarine" that was of Paul McCartney and the song written by Jhon Lennon "Help".
In this song Paul McCartney in vocal, backing vocal, piano and bass guitar. John Lennon in backing vocal, organ. George Harrison in backing vocal, guitar. Ringo Starr in drums and tambourine. George Martin the producer.
McCartney said that he wrote it as a production number for the movie Magical Mystery Tour, supporting a old-fashioned dance segment that starts with the Beatles coming down agrand staircase in white tuxedoes. After they descend, boy scouts, cadets and other groups march through. John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are wearing red carnations, while McCartney's is black. The carnation difference contributed to the Paul is dead controversy.
The song was recorded in three sesions on 22 August, 16 September and 29 September of 1967. I like this song so much because I like the dance he made and it's my favorite song sing by Paul McCartney by main voice and because this song is about the Paul's dead. In this song I also like how Ringo Starr touch the drums. Heard this song is great.
George Martin said: “I did try a second take ... but John's voice had gone.”
The Beatles' cover was released on 2 March 1964 in the U.S as a single, with "There's a Place" as its B-side.
In the UK, "Twist and Shout" was 100released on an EP with three other tracks from the Please Please Me album. In Canada, it became the title to the second album of Beatles.
The Beatles continued to play the song live until the end of their August 1965 tour of North America. They had recorded "Twist and Shout" on nine occasions for BBC television and radio broadcasts, the earliest of which was for the Talent Spot radio show on 27 November 1962.I like too much the effor that John did the first time they recorded this song, because even having a cold he sing the best he can. I like this song too much.
The Beatles song ''Bad Boy'' was written by Larry Williams in 1959.
They realeased them in the 14 of June of 1965 but the date of their recorded was in the 10 of May of 1965 in the Abbey Road Show in London (England). Along with ''Dizzy Miss Lizzy'', ''Bad Boy'' was recorded the 10 of May (The date of Larry Williams birthday).
Bad Boy was first realeased on Beatles VI in the 14 of June of 1965.
In this song Jhon Lennon play the guitar and singer, Paul McCartney on bass, George Harrison on double-tracked lead guitar and Ringo Starr on drums and tambourine.
When I heard the title of this song I think It can be very good and I decided to hear them.
This is one of my favourites Beatles song with other of Jhon Lennon. I think this song was singer in memory of Larry Williams in the 10 of May of 1965, because this day was his birthday. I like the double-tracked lead guitar of George Harrison and the drums and tambourine of Ringo Starr in this song, I like very much.
